As a muscle car enthusiast, he makes a yearly pilgrimage to the Barret-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The Barret-Jackson Collector Car Auction coordinates car auctions and automobile lifestyle events in Scottsdale, Arizona; Palm Beach, Florida; Reno, Nevada; and Las Vegas, Nevada. These events feature unique and valuable cars from around the world. In 2015, the Scottsdale Barret-Jackson auction broke world records by reaching over $130 million in vehicle sales and $6.5 million in automotive memorabilia sales.
The 2016 auction featured famous stunt cars from the film Transformers available for sale. The director of the films, Michael Bay, sold his 1967 Chevrolet Camaro, which was used to play the character Bumblebee in the film. The 1992 Peterbilt truck that portrayed Optimus Prime was also sold at the auction.
